How can you tell if it is dry, really dry, or if your part of the US is in a drought? Read today's blog for the answer.


Academic, state, and federal forces have joined together to create a website to help with monitoring drought conditions and forecasts for the United States. The soil moisture and evaporation maps are a tool that can be helpful in determining how deep you need to water the garden or if the automatic irrigation system needs to be adjusted. Use it to help you decide if this is a good time to plant a new garden or should you hold off until additional moisture is forecasted.
