is picking out the bulbs...the hard part is actually planting them! I haven't been able to plant every year as I used to when I was more limber, but about two years ago I planted about 150 bulbs of all kinds, in my front yard.

There are snowdrops, crocus, grape hyacinth, standard hyacinth, daffodils (early and late bloomers) and tulips. A handful of allium were included to scare off the squirrels.

The bulbs give a great deal of pleasure for little money as you said, Susan, but oh - my aching back!
