Trying to identify a plant. Looks like an onion but strap-like leaves. Large cylindrical bulb grows above soil surface and births dozens of tiny bulbs around mother bulb. This is not, I think, an Egyptian onion. Supposed to have therapeutic value - I'll know better once it's identified. Can anyone help me? Thanks

Mindy...
Look at the onion images for Allium ursinum, (ramsons or bear garlic) at these links:

It smells garlicky and is supposed to be good for high blood pressure. Hope this helps.
